Rare moment with Daddy

Dave gave Hailey her bottle last night just as the Bronco game was finishing.  She fell asleep while eating.  Sometimes she will doze off while she is eating just before bed, but once you take the bottle out of her mouth she wakes up.  She is not a baby that likes to be cuddled, so having her sleep in your arms is a rare treat.  Dave got to enjoy her for a few minutes while she slept peacefully.  Good thing that the end of the Broncos game didn't get super exciting, because the sleeping wouldn't have lasted long.  Hailey is not quite sure about Sunday afternoons when Mommy and Daddy get rather loud while watching the Broncos.  Right now she thinks that it is pretty funny to watch us yell touchdown!  We are working hard to get her to do it with us and hopefully by the end of the season she will be able to.  Go Broncos!

Hailey's Crawl

This is Hailey's version of crawling or aka "The Army Crawl".  She is getting pretty quick and gets into everything.  We are just getting a little glimpse of life to come.  I know that I have said that before, but we have no idea how busy she is going to be!!  Dave hadn't really experienced her getting into and playing with things that she shouldn't play with until yesterday.  When I came out of the bathroom after showering and getting ready Hailey was in her jumper.  I asked Dave if he finally felt he had to contain her, and he said yes.  He said that it seems like she knows exactly what she shouldn't be playing with (cords, outlets, shoes (because she licks them), the fireplace) and heads right toward them.  I think that he now understands what I have been talking about all week!  Even though she is getting busier and we have to keep a closer eye on her, she is such a happy girl and so fun to be with.  We love to just watch her explore and try to do new things.

"Dada"

It is amazing how hard it is to get something on video.  It never fails as soon as the video camera comes out Hailey stops doing whatever I want to record.  It took a few tries and a little patience but I finally caught her saying "Dada" on video.  She actually said it for the first time in the car last week on the way to Charlotte.  It was a quiet whisper for about a week, but as you will hear in the video she has moved from her whisper (which I thought was impossible anyway) to her regular, rather loud "talking".  Dave got an early birthday present getting to hear her say Dada this morning!

Hailey and Tori

Here are a couple of pictures of Hailey and Tori.  We had a great time while we were in Charlotte.  Hailey did great in the car.  It took me just over 6 hours to drive.  On the way there we stopped twice and on the way home we only stopped once.  Hailey was a trooper.  Tori had a great time making Hailey laugh and smile.  She was fun entertainment for Hailey.  Hailey had a wonderful time watching Tori run around and play.  I think that she really wanted to be able to run with her!

20 Week Ultrasound

Here are some of the ultrasound pictures of the new baby girl.  She measured right at 20 weeks, which was exactly where I was in my pregnancy.  The ultrasound tech said that she very rarely had a baby measure exactly to date!  Everything looked great with the baby.  Having another girl sure makes getting things ready a lot easier for me.

Hailey Holding Her...

Baby Sister!!!  I had my 20 week ultrasound today and it's a girl!  Dave and I were very excited.  We will definitely have our hands full with two girls.  Everything looked great on the ultrasound and she was measuring right on target.  We will get ultrasound pictures up soon.  We just got a new computer so we are in the process of getting the scanner set up.  Hailey and I are headed to Charlotte, NC tomorrow.  We are going down to watch Tori (Brett and Cinder's daughter).  Brett and Cinder were able to take a well deserved vacation to Belgium, where they are going to get to attend the Formula One race.  Love from Dave and the 3 girls!!!
