Wow, the year has flown by. It is so hard to believe that Hailey is 1! What a great year it has been. It has been so fun watching Hailey grow and become her own little person. She has such a fun personality and is always able to capture a smile from those around her! Dave and I couldn't wait to see what she would do with her birthday cake. She loves to eat and is usually pretty dramatic while she eats. We thought that for sure her birthday cake would be everywhere. Unfortunately, we were slightly disappointed when she started to eat her cake. She DAINTILY (Hailey doesn't do anything daintily) stuck her finger in the frosting and ate it off. There was no face dive into the cake, or handfuls of cake going in her hair. We had actually really never experienced her eating so slowly and precisely. We thought that maybe she was getting too much attention, so we left her be with just her cake, but she still just slowly ate at it bit by bit, in the end it was great to watch her and it made my clean up a lot easier than I thought that it would be!

Why are all of you watching me??

(Most of the frosting on her face came from us trying to help her out, along with the frosting on her fingers. We tried sticking her hands into the cake, but she wanted nothing to do with it!)

Our Two Little Girls

Having two little girls has made it impossible for me to resist dressing them alike. I bought these matching outfits the other day and thought that we would share our "irish twins." Getting Hailey to "hold" Madison was a little tricky but this picture turned out pretty good. Being quick is the trick!

Settling In

Now that we have made it home, we are trying to get settled. Slowly but surely I think that it is happening. We have be blessed to have Dave home with us this week. Having the extra set of hands has been great. Madison is doing well and I feel wonderful. Hailey is getting the hang of being a big sister and Dave loves being the Daddy of two little girls!

Madison Cecilia Donahue

We would like to welcome Madison Cecilia Donahue, born on January 9th, 2009 at 4:01 pm. She weighed 7 lbs and was 19.5 inches long. We are all doing great and adjusting to being a family of 4! Hailey is slowly getting to "know" her little sister and I think that she has finally realized that she is not going away! We were very fortunate to have my Mom here when I delivered Madison, and to make it even more special she was born on my Mom's birthday. Gra couldn't have asked for a better birthday gift. Enjoy the pictures and I will get more up soon!

Christmas Day

Dave was on-call on Christmas Day. After we went to church we stopped by the hospital to get a few family pictures together!

A Day At The Park

While everyone was here over Christmas we took advantage of a day of temperatures in the 70's and had a fun afternoon at the park with Hailey and Tori.

I don't think that a 38 week pregnant girl should be on the slide, but we were trying everything we could to get Madison out. Even the swinging and sliding didn't work!

Hailey has loved every minute that her and Gra have spent together. Needless to say that Hailey has been spoiled and Gra has had a great time doing it. Enjoy sharing in a couple of Hailey's firsts!
